Sam Albert is the deputy director for the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office (OREC), a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade. Her work supports the office’s mission of inspiring industries and communities to thrive in Colorado’s great outdoors. This is accomplished by focusing on economic development, conservation and stewardship, education and workforce training, and public health and wellness. Prior to her work with OREC she worked for El Pomar Foundation where she helped direct the Regional Partnerships program and worked to support regional grant making in Northwest Colorado.
