CEO & Co-Founder, Buena Vida Specialty Coffee

Gally Mayer is the CEO and Co-Founder of Buena Vida Specialty Coffee, leading a regenerative model that links farmer prosperity with soil health. After a career in banking and venture capital in New York, she moved to Costa Rica 15 years ago and founded Buena Vida nearly five years ago, growing it into a leader in specialty regenerative coffee across Costa Rica, the United States, and expanding markets in Europe. She works closely with farming communities across Central America to advance practices that strengthen soil health, build climate resilience, and improve farmer wellbeing. Gally serves on advisory boards for Kiss the Ground, Common Ground, and the upcoming Ground Swell documentaries. She also sits on the board of the Baratta Center at Georgetown University and is a member of Daughters for Earth, Pleiades Network, Les Dames d'Escoffier NY, and the Miller Center Accelerator. She and her husband founded Fútbol por mi País, a soccer-for-development foundation supporting children across Costa Rica.
