Kathleen Rellihan is the Senior Travel and Culture Editor at Outside, where she works across digital and print covering adventure travel, conservation, and outdoor-focused TV and film. Previously, she held roles as Newsweek’s travel editor and Adventure.com’s editor-in-chief, and has contributed to National Geographic, Afar, BBC Travel, TIME, and more. Kathleen’s career in travel media began at Travel Channel as a digital editor and producer. Her recent adventures include scuba diving through an underwater art museum at the Great Barrier Reef, ski touring for the first time along Norway’s fjords, and learning to freedive in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Her Outside article on cold plunging around the world won a Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Silver Award.
