Carson Caprara joined Brooks in 2005 as a field marketing representative and quickly grew to roles in sales management and footwear. By 2015, he led the Footwear Product Management and Merchandising efforts for Brooks globally. Today, as Chief Product Officer, he is responsible for all design, development, product management, and merchandising of Brooks’ footwear and apparel around the world. Throughout his tenure, Carson’s runner-focused, learning mindset has led to innovative solutions and experiences for runners and helped lead the brand through times of changing runner expectations. His fingerprints are on many of the company’s successes including the development of Run Signature as the foundation for how to create products that work more naturally with an individual’s preferred motion path, as well as the creation of Brooks’ RunSights Lab, runner research process, and team. He studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder and is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford d.school program on Customer-Focused Innovation & Big Data. A strong advocate for youth running and proud father to three girls, Carson coaches the West Seattle RoadRunners Youth Track and XC Team (200 kids) and hosts the annual Mercer Miles track meet on Mercer Island, Washington.
