Shawn K. Sullivan is a sports business professional known for creating and innovating with a knack for relationship-building across the college sports arena and endurance sports event space for more than two decades. Named Running USA’s sixth Executive Director on October 15, 2025, he oversees day-to-day operations, member services, research and education initiatives, strategic partnerships, and the Running USA Industry Conference presented by haku. Prior to Running USA, he served as Associate Commissioner for Branding, Messaging and Strategic Initiatives with the Horizon League and previously spent nearly nine years at Ball State University, advancing to Deputy Athletics Director for Marketing and Strategic Initiatives.
